HANDICAPPING LADDER LINKHow to interpret the ladder?
- The lower your number the higher ranking you hold (ie, 100 is the "fastest" rider)
- In a race (handicap or graded scratch) we attempt to group riders of equal ranking together
- Handicap starting times calculated as a percentage of the time you will take compared to the fastest group
- As you improve performance (or get worse) your ranking is constantly adjusted to keep you competitive
